We have a litter of Pembroke on 26/03

Mated with Annette’s stud dog Basil on 23rd January, Bunny finally deliver 5 healthy puppy on 26th March. Thanks Annette and Bunny. Basil’s information: https://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/profile.asp?dog=115805. There was 7 puppies in her belly as shown in X-ray before delivery, and we wanna bunny a natural delivery. After water broken for 3 hours on Saturday night, we have to go after hour then. After a Xray again, Vet said the first pup got stuck on the Pelvis, and probabely will die. Vet suggest a injection to boost deliver, but I says just have Csection directly. After few hours, there’re 6 puppy survived, and 1 tricolor passed away. We have them home. But One puppy keep bleeding on butt, and couldn’t survive the first 24 hours. We are really sad and depressed about that. Annette and I went back to afterhour VET for the bleeding puppy, and they have no idea what cause that. Only thing we know is, be ready that she may not survive. She died at the 24hour and bury her under a tree at yard. May you have a happy life at Heaven. The first week is also hard, because of Bunny’s milk fever. (MIlk fever is not a fever but is a disease due to lack of calcium, and could cause death of animal.) She is not diagnosed but nearly reach the minimum level of ionised calcium. She have syptom of high temperature, trembling, not active, etc. More worse, she don’t eat for anything actively and diarhha for 6 days since delivery due to bacteria infection. Luckily she is better now, with medication. She has some appetite back, and we force her to finish dog food by making it as smoothie and put to her throat. We also hand feed puppy most of time. And her calcium level is getting better after 2 days. I would thanks a lot for Annette and Carol coming over couple of times helping me and daisy out. Annette provide us a lot of handy stuff such as liquid calcium, supplyment, nice and firm blanket, and also show us how to hand feed. Without them, we could lose more puppy or even Bunny.

WellDone–Maxi,best Baby puppy in group

Maxi, Blue’s daughter win best baby puppy today. She is 5 month now. She is really strong and beautiful. We are having a great time with Maxi. Thanks for Carol spent time on training and showing her.

Our first litter on Sep 28th

WOW, we finally have our first litter registered with the kennel prefix “Harrydaisy”. I have to say, Breeding is a hard and money-costing job if you wanna breed good dogs. Thanks to Carol’s inferral to Sadie Podger who offered Scrumpy as a stud dog. Thanks a lot for your help, without you, we wouldn’t have any beautiful puppies. When blue is coming to season in August, we did 2 prog-test (blood tests) to see if her mating level is good or not. Then we arranged a flight to Sadie’s kennel which is located in South Australia. Sadie is a nice woman who took good care of Blue and helped us to prog-test at her end, so we won’t miss the window. Blue is mated twice then when the level is good. After two weeks, my little blue got back home. Missed her so much.  One thing we did wrong was we should put her weight up 20%, instead, we still keep her normal diet, which makes her super slim after delivery. Two week before delivery, we started to keep her home and made sure she is cozy. She was doing good, and a day before delivery, she start to shake and deliver. We went to Vet for a Csection. Tasmania Vet is highly recommended when dogs need surgery, and the Csection cost us 2500 bucks. Finally, Blue got 2 baby. One black girl and one blue boy.  The black girl is quite big than usual. And they all have beautiful face marks. They start to show their beauty when they opened their eyes 2-3weeks. They grow so fast in weeks 1-2-3-4 as shown below, with Daisy holding them in hands. They are so pretty. Rebecca. Carol’s friend, expressed her interest in the blue boy. And Carol helped us to assess the puppies on week 6 . They are so good. And they are also will be assessed on week 8 which will show their adult looking. Even though there are only 2 puppies, I’m happy with their quality and hope they could bring more surprises to our breeding and show life.

Our First Champion–Blue Girl

Blue win her Champion title 30/03/2022.  I would express all my thanks to people helped me to handle the dog and learn the show skills, especially our corgi breeder communities. arol, Lisa, Nicole, Majory, Annette all gave me many help during this year. Thanks a lot. Without you, I would not come back to the show ring or do the right dog handler. Carol Ann Matthew plays the most importanr role since I tried to show blue. And she help me show the dog when I have to work at weekend. Thank you carol. I will do my best to be a better qualified breeder.
